Dear Parishioners and Visitors:  Please be advised that the Mayor of Newton has imposed, by executive order, a universal MASK MANDATE on all indoor public spaces, including places of religious worship, of indefinite duration: "All people, regardless of vaccination status, in any indoor space accessible to the public, must wear a mask or cloth face-covering that covers their mouth and nose." This is a coercive mandate: "Failure to comply with any of the provisions of this order constitutes an imminent and immediate threat to public health... this order may be enforced to the extent allowable under the law."  Please help us protect the church's continued ability to stay open by complying with this order, whether you agree with it or not.

Tenebrae 2018

This clip features some highlights from Tenebrae, which took place on Wednesday evening of Holy Week. After the strepitus, or "great noise", which symbolizes the earthquake at the moment of Christ's death on the cross, you will see that the return of the candle to the Sanctuary was captured by the camera with an interesting (and unintended) effect.

The parish's Tenebrae Hearse was created by one of the parishioners over thirty years ago. His youngest daughter, now a member of the Latin Mass choir, sang the haunting descant in Gregorio Allegri's Miserere during this year's ceremony.
